okay, we started in the dark.  ran the first 5 miles in 55.  decided this group was a bit slow for me so struck out on my own.  good thing we live in a safe town.  it was DARK where the street lights were not working.  but, running in 78 degrees in total dark patches beats running in 88 degrees later.  ran the next 5 miles in 48; then 5 in 46 and the last 5 miles in 45.  took a break between each ‘lap’  for water and nutrition.  last 2 ran in 18 and was tired. first 20 went okay.  hips and calves were tired for the last 2.

since i am posting this after the fact–got  busy watching hurricane news all weekend–i was not tired later in the day.  did all kinds of housework and grocery shopping.  sunday was good too.  my daughter was home from university.  we kept busy. monday was a different story.  i was so wipe.  but since it was ‘labor’ day i took a break from my labors and read by the pool.  i have three books going so got plenty of catch up.
